About Elinor
I’m a creative and friendly tutor living in Debenham, Suffolk, with a real love for languages and helping others learn. I grew up in Tenerife and went through the Spanish school system, so Spanish has been part of my daily life since childhood. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I understand what it’s like to learn and live between two languages. I hold a 120-hour TEFL qualification and currently work part time as a Teaching Assistant in a special education school, supporting students with a range of learning needs. I also have years of experience working with children and families in different roles, which has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and making learning enjoyable. Whether you are completely new to Spanish or English or want to build on what you already know, I will work with you at your pace and in a way that feels supportive and empowering. I love creating lessons that feel personal, relaxed, and full of encouragement.

I like to keep things relaxed and supportive so you can feel comfortable trying things out and making mistakes because that is how we learn. I tailor each lesson to what you need, whether that is building confidence speaking, learning the basics, or brushing up for school or travel. I love using conversation, games, and real-life situations to make learning feel natural and fun. Lessons are usually 45 to 60 minutes and I work with all ages including kids, teens, and adults from complete beginners to GCSE level. I grew up in Tenerife from the age of seven and went through the Spanish school system so Spanish feels just as natural to me as English. I also have a 120-hour TEFL qualification and currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a special education school which means I am used to adapting to different needs and making learning work for each individual. Whether you are learning Spanish or English for school, holidays, or just for yourself, I will make sure lessons are encouraging, flexible, and built around you.
