Experienced and qualified ESOL teacher in Norfolk, beginners - English tutor with Amy

I want to recommend Amy as an English teacher because of her capacity to answer my needs in the study of the English language.
I was a student from January to June 2017 with the request to focus more on my writing and speaking skills than the comprehension. Amy was extremely willing to build a special program with the aim of strengthening my weaknesses but always meeting with my requests.
I also want to recommend Amy for her ability to make you comfortable during the lessons and to create a cheerful and pleasant atmosphere.

I had the pleasure to work with Amy Ballard for a period of 5 years as a colleague at the British School of Bassano del Grappa (Italy). I’ve always appreciated her as a person for her accessibility, liveliness and sense of humor and as a teacher for her strong motivation, commitment and passion for her job. Her contagious enthusiasm has always had a positive impact on her students.
During the years I’ve seen her “growing” as a teacher, improving her already innate qualities. She is definitely and energetic person with strong interpersonal skills. She has always proven herself to be hard-working, versatile and receptive to changes.
Through the years she has developed more and more competence in dealing with a variety of courses, from group to individual tutoring to exam preparation, business classes and courses for specific purposes, showing a keen sense of adaptability and flexibility. During her work experience at the British School she sometimes found herself dealing with “difficult” and demanding classes and students. In these cases she proved to be patient, supportive and motivating: she always gave her best and never got discouraged. According to her students’ reports, she was able to personalize the learning incorporating connections to the student's interests and always trying to “get in touch” with them.
She is a very well organized teacher, accurate in preparing the lessons and studying the course material in advance. She’s got an undeniable good language awareness and great communication skills to convey her lessons and at the same time she is a good listener.
In short she’s been a completely reliable employee and colleague, an asset to the school, appreciated by team and staff and loved by her students.
