About Megan
My previous experience comes from being selected and trained by Queen Mary University as an A-level and AS level Chemistry tutor and mentor for local Colleges. Here I used my knowledge and own experience of sitting those exams to help students reach their academic potential. Additionally, I have tutored Sciences and Maths at GCSE level for `Team Up` and have worked as a full time tutor for the last 18 months helping over 50 students substantially improve their grades and confidence within maths and science.
My tutoring experience has allowed me to tutor students completing exams with various exam boards including international qualifications, 11+ exams, entrance exams and adult learning courses.

Hello,
My name is Megan and I am a Chemistry graduate of Queen Mary University of London (Russell Group) having achieved a 1st class degree. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience working with over 50 students of a varying abilities. I currently hold an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB) and work for numerous well recognised tutoring companies.
I currently offer 1-to-1 tuition in the following subjects/levels:
- KS3 Maths and Science
- GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- GCSE Maths
- A-Level and AS Level Chemistry
- 11+ and entrance exams
- Undergraduate and adult learner Chemistry.
I enjoy making tutoring session’s fun, engaging and personalised to the student as well as including plenty of exam practice and advice on exam technique. I have found it incredibly rewarding to help so many students improve their grades and confidence and believe that with the right approach and enough practice all students can succeed with maths and science.
I charge £25 per hour for tutoring at all levels in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, although this fee can be discussed if you are interesting in booking longer sessions or are looking for tuition for more than one pupil. During tutoring appointments I use a range of resources and exam papers all of which are provided as part of this price.
