About Tilly
Bonjour! I am bilingual English/French and have cracked the code to learning French; keep it fun!
I grew up in the south of France, the land of cheese and wine, then went to university in Glasgow and on to study a masters at the university of Paris. While at university I tutored mostly children with a few high schoolers, both in English and in French. I am proud to say most of my students have gone from bottom of the class to the very top by the time I have done my job.

I have a talent for getting young children excited for their French lessons, and somehow I have figured out how to get teenagers interested in learning French, without any magic spells or potions might I add.
I do believe in a tiny bit of homework (ew I know), it should never take longer than 10 minutes for teens/adults and 5 minutes for younger children and it is usually a fun task anyway, be it listening to a song or drawing a picture.
My ultimate goal is to keep my students engaged and wanting to learn and come to their tutoring sessions as that is over half the battle, which is why I personalise each lesson. Most seem to enjoy history lessons integrated, be it Louis the IX and his castle and bathing habits (or lack there of) or mythology with fairytales of dragons or ghosts.
And if it is for better grades we can adapt our lessons to your French teachers curriculum, so you’re never behind, mostly ahead and sometimes simply on track.
