About Charmaine
I am a friendly and patient accounting professional with 10 years of experience in the industry, including five years of completed SAICA articles. I am also currently completing the final semester of my Accounting degree.
I have always enjoyed helping others understand Accounting, especially when a subject initially feels confusing or overwhelming. I believe that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts in a way that feels clear, practical and suited to the individual.
My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence. I want my students to leave each lesson feeling encouraged and with a better understanding of the work.
I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans and can teach in either language.

I offer practical, personalised Accounting lessons designed to make difficult concepts easier to understand. With 10 years of experience in the accounting industry, including five years of SAICA articles, I combine academic knowledge with real-world examples so that students understand not only how Accounting works, but why it works.
My teaching approach is patient, structured and adapted to each student’s individual learning style. I first identify the areas in which the student is struggling and then explain the concepts step by step using clear examples, practice questions and past exam papers. I focus on building a strong foundation while also helping students improve their confidence, accuracy and exam technique.
A typical lesson may include a review of previous work, an explanation of new concepts, worked examples and guided practice. Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson, and I provide constructive feedback to help them understand and correct their mistakes.
I am able to teach in both English and Afrikaans.
My lessons are suitable for high school Accounting students, particularly Grades 8 to 12, as well as beginner-level college or university students who require assistance with introductory Accounting concepts. I can also assist adult learners, business owners or anyone wishing to improve their basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
