About Yeong
Hello! My name is Kaylin, and I am passionate about helping students learn Mandarin in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. I have experience teaching basic Mandarin to foreign children and beginner learners, and I enjoy seeing my students gain confidence as they develop their language skills. This can also help me improve my Mandarin. As someone who understands that learning a new language can be challenging, I strive to make my lessons interactive, encouraging, and easy to follow. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in class. I want to teach Mandarin because I enjoy sharing both the language and Chinese culture with others. Language is a powerful tool for connecting people from different backgrounds, and I find it rewarding to help students communicate in a new language and achieve their personal learning goals. Whether you are learning Mandarin for school, travel, work, or personal interest, I am excited to support you on your learning journey. I have experience teaching basic Mandarin to foreign children and beginner learners. My teaching approach focuses on creating a fun, interactive, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing the language. I use a combination of visual aids, games, storytelling, role-playing, and conversational activities to help students build their vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in speaking Mandarin. A typical lesson lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the student's age and learning needs. Each lesson is structured to include vocabulary learning, pronunciation practice, sentence construction, and interactive activities to reinforce what has been taught. As a tutor, I have experience working with international students and young learners who have little to no prior knowledge of Mandarin. Through these teaching experiences, I have developed the ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt lessons to different learning styles, and keep students engaged throughout the class.
My lessons are designed primarily for beginner-level learners, especially children and teenagers who are interested in learning Mandarin as a foreign language. Whether students are learning Mandarin for school, travel, cultural interest, or personal development, I tailor my lessons to suit their individual goals and pace of learning.
