About Loyiso
Hello! I'm Loyiso, a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor based in Johannesburg, passionate about helping Grade 10–12 students excel in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences.
I matriculated in 2022 with strong results: Level 6 in Mathematics (73%), Physical Sciences (74%), and Level 7 in Life Sciences (89%), alongside solid marks in English FAL (73%), Geography (71%), and IsiXhosa HL (82% Level 7). My academic journey continued with a BSc in Medical Biosciences at UWC in 2023, followed by a transfer to UJ for BEng Tech in Electrical Engineering (2024–2025). This university experience in biosciences and engineering gives me deep insight into how school-level concepts apply in real tertiary studies — something I love sharing with my students to motivate them beyond just exams.
In Grade 12, I tutored classmates in these subjects, helping many improve their understanding and marks. As head boy, I developed strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, making me patient, encouraging, and great at explaining complex ideas in simple, relatable ways.
I'm currently taking a break from full-time studies for personal reasons, but I'm excited to use this time to support learners facing similar challenges — whether building foundations, tackling tricky topics, or preparing for Matric exams with confidence. I'm committed to creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel empowered.

My lessons in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences for Grades 10–12 are tailored to each student's needs, following the CAPS curriculum closely while building strong conceptual understanding and exam confidence.
I start with assessing your current level and goals (whether catching up, maintaining high marks, or aiming for distinctions in Matric). A typical session includes clear explanations of key concepts, worked examples, interactive problem-solving, and targeted practice using DBE past papers and Siyavula exercises. For Physical Sciences, I draw on my engineering background to connect theory to real-world applications (e.g., circuits, mechanics); for Life Sciences, I use my biosciences knowledge to make biology engaging and memorable (diagrams, processes, experiments).
What sets me apart: As a recent Matriculant with 73% in Maths, 74% in Physical Sciences, and 89% in Life Sciences — plus university experience in medical biosciences and electrical engineering — I understand both school challenges and what tertiary studies demand. I tutored classmates successfully in Grade 12 and served as head boy, so I'm patient, encouraging, and skilled at breaking down difficult topics.
Lessons are flexible: 1-on-1 or small groups, in-person in Johannesburg or online via Zoom. I focus on active learning, regular feedback, and building long-term skills — not just rote memorization.
