About Vivian
My interest in Excel began when I realized how much clarity and efficiency spreadsheets can bring to complex tasks. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Business Information Systems followed by an M.Sc in Data Analytics, where I studied data management, reporting systems, and analytical tools used across industries. Over 8 years of teaching experience, I have helped learners develop strong Excel skills through structured, supportive instruction.
I believe Excel should be taught through practice and real-world relevance rather than overwhelming technical detail. My teaching style focuses on step-by-step guidance, simple explanations, and encouraging learners to explore tools with confidence. I support students in understanding how formulas work, how data can be organized effectively, and how Excel can solve everyday problems. Many learners become more motivated once they see immediate improvement in their ability to work efficiently.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with Excel through data projects, dashboard design, and continual exploration of new analytical features. Teaching Excel is fulfilling because students often transform from confusion into confidence, gaining a skill that opens doors in both education and professional life.

Excel becomes an incredibly powerful tool when students realize it is not just software, but a skill that supports organization, analysis, and smarter decision-making in almost every career field. In my lessons, I guide learners through spreadsheet fundamentals, formulas, functions, data visualization, pivot tables, and professional reporting techniques. I focus on helping students understand not only what Excel tools do, but why they matter and how they can be applied in real workplace situations. Lessons feel practical, structured, and encouraging.
Each session is tailored to the learner’s level and goals. Beginners start with spreadsheet navigation, formatting, basic calculations, and simple functions like SUM, AVERAGE, and IF statements. Intermediate learners develop confidence with lookup functions, conditional formatting, chart building, and data cleaning methods. Advanced students explore pivot tables, dashboards, automation with advanced formulas, and workplace-level analytical problem solving. Every lesson includes hands-on practice, guided correction, and supportive explanation.
Excel lessons also build confidence and independence in working with data. Many learners feel empowered once they can organize information clearly and create professional reports. My goal is to make Excel approachable, useful, and rewarding, helping students gain a valuable skill that strengthens both academic and career success.
