About Callum
My interest in Excel began when I started studying how digital tools can help people manage and analyze information effectively. I quickly realized that spreadsheets provide a powerful system for organizing data and performing calculations in an efficient way. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and later complete a Master’s in Information Systems.
During the past 6 years, I have taught Excel to students and professionals who wanted to improve their ability to work with spreadsheets. Through teaching experience, I noticed that many learners feel confused when they first encounter formulas and functions. Because of this, I focus on explaining each feature clearly and guiding students through practical exercises that help them gain confidence.
My teaching style emphasizes clear instruction, step-by-step practice, and real-world application. I encourage students to explore spreadsheet tools and understand how they support data analysis and reporting. Helping learners develop confidence in using Excel and understand how it improves productivity is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching experience.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students understand how spreadsheets can be used to organize information, perform calculations, and present data in a structured way. Excel is widely used in education, business, and research because it allows users to manage large amounts of information efficiently. In my lessons, I guide students step by step so they can learn how different Excel tools work and how they can apply them in practical situations.
Lessons usually begin with the basic structure of spreadsheets. Students learn how to enter data correctly, organize information into rows and columns, and apply simple formatting to make spreadsheets easier to read. They also learn how to use basic formulas to perform calculations such as totals, averages, and percentages. These early lessons help learners become comfortable working with spreadsheet environments.
As students gain more confidence, lessons expand into more advanced features such as conditional formatting, charts, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables. Students learn how to analyze information and present it clearly through visual reports. My goal is to help learners build practical Excel skills that they can apply in academic work, professional tasks, and everyday data organization.
