About Shannon
I currently teach ESL in universities to business and engineering students. I also work with graduate students, assisting in the writing of their theses in English. I have been teaching business English to undergraduates and graduate students for the last 5 years in both engineering and business schools. I teach a variety of subjects to higher level students in English -- including a course on the Science of Mindfulness and Wellbeing. I also have experience preparing students for the TOEIC exam. I have a BA in English, and MA in History. I also completed a second MA in Ethics in 2021, researching the connection between language immersion and empathy. I love having the opportunity to foster language development in my students.

Shannon is an excellent French instructor. She took the time to figure out my needs and goals in French. She has been incredibly flexible working with my resources to learn what I can when I can. She not only helps with my in class learning, but has provided tons of outside resources. She helped me to understand the process of language acquisition so that I can trust the process. Shannon is incredibly patient and fun, and I have loved learning French with her!
Shannon is an excellent teacher. I see my speaking skills have improved and I'm really thankful for this. Also, Shannon helps me to prepare for the interview and recommend me effective self-education techniques for improving my English skills and my live. I can recommend Shannon as a very professional, an attentive and understanding teacher.
