I am passionate about raising standards across all age groups and language levels. By using my natural enthusiasm for English language teaching and to encourage and instil engagement with the subject, I can foster and maintain a positive learning climate where students can reach their full potential. My teaching style is interactive. In my experience, students who actively participate in a class learn more. My goal is to teach a class in which every student is engaged, asks questions, and solves problems. My development as a teacher has been, and will continue to be, deeply influenced by this goal.My favorite teachers always make a point of showing how the course material relates to the real world. In my classes, I strive to emphasize the things that students will find meaningful here on our campus and out in our community as well.
For all English classes, open discussions play a large role in the educational process. Since these discussions play such a prominent role, I strive to create a classroom environment where all students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. Some of our time will be spent covering standard course material. My current students also have access to course websites that I offer through Blackboard. These sites serve to supplement the experience that students have in the classroom.
