About Joanne
Hi! I’m Joanne, a passionate pre-service teacher who loves helping students build confidence in their English skills. I tutor students from Years 7–12 in writing, analysis, and exam preparation. My goal is to make English engaging and approachable—whether we’re unpacking Shakespeare, refining essay structure, or exploring creative writing.
I have one year of one-on-one tutoring experience and two months of classroom experience as a student teacher. These experiences have helped me understand how to tailor lessons to each learner, create supportive learning environments, and connect what we study to real classroom expectations.
Currently studying Secondary Education, I understand what schools and teachers look for, and I design each lesson to help students reach those standards while feeling confident and capable. I believe learning works best when it’s clear, relevant, and even a little fun!

My tutoring rate is $50 per hour for personalised, one-on-one online English sessions. This rate includes all lesson materials, resources, and feedback after each session—there are no extra costs. Students only need a device with internet access and a willingness to learn!
