I have a Ph.D. in English, specializing in writing, interdisciplinary humanities, poetry, honors education, and comparative literature. I have been teaching at the university level for more than thirty years (tenured) and I love helping students in particular prepare for college and/or careers.

I teach a lot of Plato and Aristotle, which is to say that I take a Socratic approach, working with the student as a companion learner or guide to help them solve problems and learn the skills they need to think critically.
