I have been teaching for some time, and I've been tutoring since high school! English in general (be it literature, grammar, language, composition, etc) is something I am very passionate about. I am able to work with anyone from middle school onward, but I have most experience working with the high school and college level.
I have taught in a variety of difficult situations and worked with many non-traditional students, so I am aware of the importance of patience and differentiation.
I like to employ a lot of different methods and techniques while teaching, such as breaking the lesson into smaller pieces as well as more Socratic methods. It really depends on what works for the student!
