About Megan
Hi, I’m Megan, an English tutor from South Africa who believes learning a language should feel useful, encouraging and, most importantly, comfortable.
My background is in writing, digital marketing, content creation and communication, so English has been a big part of my everyday work. I have experience writing for different audiences, communicating ideas clearly and helping turn complicated information into something easy to understand.
I’m a patient and approachable person, and I understand that speaking a new language can feel intimidating. My lessons are a judgement-free space where you can ask questions, make mistakes and build your confidence at your own pace.
Whether you’re starting from the basics, working on your conversational English, improving your writing or simply want someone to practise speaking with, I’ll tailor our lessons around you and what you want to achieve.
I want you to leave each lesson feeling like you’ve actually learnt something and are a little more confident than when you started.

My approach to tutoring is relaxed, supportive and personalised to each student. I believe the best way to learn English is by actually using it, so my lessons focus on practical communication rather than simply memorising rules.
I am proficient in English and can teach in English. I have a background in writing, digital content, communication and creative work, which helps me bring a different perspective to lessons and make learning more engaging.
A typical lesson can include conversation practice, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, depending on what the student wants to improve. I like to understand each student's goals first and then adapt the lesson around their level, interests and areas that need more attention.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners and students who simply want to become more confident communicating in English. Whether you are learning English from scratch, preparing for everyday conversations or looking to improve your writing and communication skills, I aim to make every lesson comfortable, useful and encouraging.
