About Priyanka
I am Priyanka and I have taught English as a first language professionally in a reputed educational institute.
I am a friendly and approachable teacher that focuses on tailoring the learning to each student and their specific needs and learning styles.
I believe in learning through doing and having fun, not through rote memorization and testing. I'm communicative and can work with the student individually to find their problem areas and figure out the best action plan.
I have received good feedback from the parents of the students I've taught, regarding the improvements in their language and confidence in their skills.

My way of teaching is taking a holistic approach, teaching language as not just a technical subject but including the cultural aspects and the intricacies that it holds in the world.
- I prefer to start with the very basics to build a strong foundation of reading, listening and deciphering skills, and only then introduce technical and grammatical aspects to ensure smooth transitioning and learning experience for the student.
- Each class would be focused on one of the core skills in a language (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing, Comprehension) and once per week would be a class focused on integrating all of those into a revision test to evaluate previously learned skills and incorporate more of the skills not yet perfected.
- I try to be as friendly and approachable as the student needs and adapt myself to their learning styles, incorporating different learning styles and aids (visual, audio, kinesthetic, reading/writing) to make it as easy and fun for the student as possible. I don't believe in punishing the students or teaching through force, I try to identify the area of struggle and communicate with the student to find the best solution for it.
- My classes are intended to mainly primary and secondary level school students.
