About Edima
My name is Edima Thomas. I am a 25-year-old freelance content writer based in Kaduna, Nigeria.
I have always had a borderline obsession with the English language dating back to my elementary school days. In fact, it was my favourite subject. Learning the subject sparked a yearning in me to discover new words, improve my oral and written skills hence delving into poetry and articles as an art-form for self-expression.
Although I am grateful to be able to do what I do currently, I've always wanted to impart the knowledge of English language into the minds of young students. This passion may be credited to my English teacher back in secondary school, Mr Gbenga, who taught English in such a simplified yet refined manner. His method of teaching fanned the flames of my burning love for the language, and his tutorship has stuck with me even to this very day. In this regard, I would be beyond honoured to be given an opportunity to extend the gift of such tutorship to young students on this platform.

Learning the English language may pose quite the challenge for many young students due to its seemingly complex lexical structure. My job is to present and expound the nuances of the English language in a simplified and digestible manner. To this effect, my mode of teaching is one that involves a conversational approach to learning where the students are engaged in subject-related discussions, as well as written and reading exercises which help to drive class participation and improve assimilation in the learning process.
