About Mieke
I am a second-year student, studying to become an English teacher. With my passion for language and for teaching, I focus not only on school but also on tutoring for students in/at secondary school, secondary vocational education and higher education. In addition to my internship experiences at the VMBO, I have more than 2 years of experience in giving tutoring to different levels and age categories.

I base my lessons on the techniques that I get taught during my studies. In addition, I try to figure out at all times what the student in question needs to make progress. I will adjust my teaching method to this, so that he or she can achieve the desired results.
All this can of course be realized both face-to-face and online (eg, Skype!).
During the online lessons I work with Skype and Google Docs. In Google Docs it is not only easier to work on a topic together, but this also automatically saves itself. The student can place comments next to certain parts of the explanation when needed, so that I can then pay more attention to that specific topic. In this way, progress can be closely monitored.
