About Carla
I am a teacher since 2009, I started as an intern in a bilingual early childhood school and I have worked as a teacher for adults in company and at a language school for children and adolescents. I also have experience as a teacher assistant in an early years school focused on teaching in English to young children and more recently I have been a teacher assistant at a British school in São Paulo since 2013, working in Key Stage 2 (Year 3) and Foundation Stage (Nursery). In the meanwhile I have been teaching private lessons to students - Portuguese and English.

My teaching method is very adaptable, it varies according to the goals, age or each student's level in English. One of the ways I like to teach is inserting the new language in the student's daily life, so that they can express themselves and gradually feel familiar in an environment where the language is not their mother tongue. I often work with the materials from Cambridge and Oxford publishers and also with other media / activities such as games, storytelling, magazines, movies, series, music, podcasts, etc.
