About Maya
I am a current senior at NYU, studying English Literature and Drama with a creative writing minor. I previously spent two years at Wesleyan University-- also studying English and Drama. I was an avid English student in high school and often ended up editing my friends essays for many different classes, always to their benefit:). During my senior year I received a perfect score on the ACT English section and a near perfect score on the reading section. I love writing and I'm always reading both fiction and non fiction.

For academic essays, I will always edit for punctuation and grammar first. I will make suggestions on how to improve paragraph structure, clarity of word choice, adherence to prompt (if you send it to me)/strength of argument, and overall quality.
For creative writing, I can really focus on whatever you're specifically struggling with. Ultimately my goal is to help you improve your piece's overall fluidity and impact, and to give suggestions that help you write a cohesive, stylized, and gripping story. I think that it is be very helpful to get an outside perspective when writing a creative piece, and I would love to provide you with one:)
