About Melissa
I have just completed my degree in English literature at the University of York and I am keen to pass on the skills I have learnt from my studies to other students who may require support.
I studied English literature from GCSE and also have an interest in history (which I studied at A level), so I have an essay based background.
I love working with students and have been a student mentor to my peers on multiple occasions throughout my education.

My teaching method is dependent on what the student wants and needs. Whether it be helping with grammar, improving essay style or developing confidence with texts, I shall try to help develop your skills. I can also proofread essays and provide recommendations on writing style or grammar.
To be completely transparent I have not tutored before, however I would be happy and open to suggestions on how your child or you would like to be taught. I will then try my best to deliver to these needs.
