About Lucy
I am a 19-year-old student, currently studying Global Humanitarian Studies at UCL. I have had a love for English from an early age, receiving two Grade 9s at GCSE level in English Lit and Lang, and an A in English Literature at A-Level. This has fuelled my passion for teaching English with the goal of inspiring other students and helping to instil the love for the subject within them too, in addition to helping them achieve their full potential!

I aim to conduct my lessons in a friendly, enthusiastic and informal manner that will be tailored to individual students, depending on their needs. For example, at GCSE level, I can help with specific texts; we will thoroughly look at the content, themes, characters and analysis of required texts in a structured way that can be applied to exam questions, which we will work through together. Furthermore, I am happy to assist with a range of different areas within English, whether it be poetry, literature or creative writing, equipping students with the skills to feel confident going into any English lesson or exam. I completely understand the importance of belief in yourself, and how this can impact on results, so I vouch to improve the confidence of any student I teach to go into exam situations feeling prepared and ready.
