About Sherry
Sherry Schafer is a professional English language teacher with over ten years of experience teaching speaking, reading, listening, and writing. She has taught English at a university, language schools, and in-home for private lessons. She is able to teach basic level English for communication, as well as academic and TOEFL English. As my student, when I first meet you, I'll ask you some questions about your goals in learning English and what particular areas you'd like to focus on improving. As I get to know you, I'll try to get a sense of what your English level is, and recommend a course of action for improving your skills. I will then create a personalized lesson plan for you that is interesting, fun, and effective for improving your skills.
I have experience teaching a wide range of people, from kids to adults, from countries all around the world. I can teach beginning to advanced-level English. I also have a masters degree in TOEFL and Linguistics, and have taught at the college-level.

Perfect! A good first lesson where I was able to talk as much as possible and Sherry was able to correct all my syntax and pronunciation deficiencies. Thanks to Sherry. She's patient and does everything to put me in a situation and get me talking. I really appreciate it.
