About Abby
Hi! I’m a Social Work student with a Psychology minor, and I really enjoy helping others learn and feel more confident in themselves. I have experience working with children and mentoring students, which has taught me to be patient, understanding, and flexible with different learning styles.
I believe everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand what works best for each student. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without feeling pressured. I’m friendly, encouraging, and always willing to explain something in a different way until it makes sense.

I use a patient and supportive approach, explaining lessons step-by-step with simple examples and practice. A typical lesson includes reviewing the topic, working through examples together, and giving the student practice with feedback. What sets me apart is my experience working with children and different learning styles. I tutor elementary, middle, high school, and college students in English, reading, writing, homework, and study skills.
