About Kandis
I have taught English in three different states: Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska. This has provided me with a range of grade levels, types of curriculum, and types of students. I have successfully taught students with various learning styles and enjoy finding different strategies that help unlock the potential in each student. My AP students have been successful with results on the exam, but more importantly, they have all improved skills in reading and writing to be successful at the next level.

My approach is one of hands-on with various skills. I typically incorporate visuals, audio, and tactile activities in a lesson to benefit all types of learners. I possess a wide range of different activities to help develop skills for reading and writing. I can adapt lessons for grades 9-12. Additionally, I have extensive experience in lessons for AP Language/Composition and have been a reader for the AP exam for several years.
