About Riya
I am a final-year English Honours student and the first topper of Ramanujan College, the University of Delhi (all semesters). I am passionate about learning and teaching literature with an interdisciplinary approach. I am already serving as a peer mentor to my juniors and teaching them all the basics of reading and writing for literature. I want to make literature fun for you by teaching you how to read it in a way that makes you emotionally connect with the characters so you read English for pleasure and have nothing to worry about!

I will familiarize you with the relevant contemporary themes/context of the story so that you could relate to the characters and understand the implications of the texts in your syllabus on a personal level and thus end up enjoying it and excelling in it without mugging anything up. For example: For teaching a chapter like "Last Lesson" which is about Germany taking over France, I will explain to you how the theme of language is very relevant in our times too, giving you examples of the common Hindi/English imposition debate you see around you. I will also make you understand the main characters' emotional state and teach you "how to read literature" with all its nuances and write the perfect answer.
