About Megan
Hi! My name is Megan, and I'm very excited to get started in my tutoring. I am (unsurprisingly) an English nerd, but from my experience in teaching, I understand how English can be an intimidating and frustrating subject to face. My approachable and fun personality will help to make lessons enjoyable and accessible. I intend to encourage confidence, improve grades and stimulate enjoyment in English.

I offer student-centred, supportive tutoring tailored to each learner’s needs. The lesson pace and approach are adapted to ensure students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to succeed.

I teach secondary school students from Year 7 to Year 11. I have experience supporting a wide range of needs—from developing reading and literacy skills to structured revision and exam preparation for GCSEs. I aim to build confidence, strengthen understanding, and to make learning enjoyable.
I have an undergraduate and a master's degree in English. I am also currently working as a SEND teaching assistant. I have created a safe and supportive environment, encouraging children who have found school tricky.
