About Ruby
Hi, I’m Ruby! I’m originally from the UK and now living in New Zealand. My love for teaching English really grew while traveling around Europe, where I spent time doing Workaway and living with people from all different backgrounds.
During that time, I naturally started helping others with their English — from casual conversations to more structured support — and I realized how much I enjoyed it. Seeing people gain confidence and express themselves in a new language was incredibly rewarding, and it’s what inspired me to start teaching more seriously.
Travel has shown me how powerful language is in connecting people, and I bring that into my lessons by keeping them relaxed, supportive, and focused on real-life communication. I understand what it feels like to learn in a new environment, so I aim to make my students feel comfortable, encouraged, and confident.
I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping people grow — whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your fluency.

I offer relaxed, friendly English lessons focused on building confidence and real-life communication. My teaching style is supportive and adaptable, so lessons are tailored to your level and goals — whether you want to improve speaking, pronunciation, or everyday English.
Lessons range from 30–60 minutes and include conversation practice, useful vocabulary, and gentle corrections to help you improve naturally.
I have experience teaching beginner French children and Ukrainian adults from beginner to intermediate level, so I’m comfortable working with different ages and abilities.
My lessons are best suited for beginner to intermediate students who want to feel more confident using English in everyday situations.
