I am an English tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication alongside previous professional experience in human resources and recruitment before transitioning to language teaching. My English teaching specialises in job interview preparation, working with professionals who need confident, persuasive English specifically for the high-stakes context of employment interviews and career advancement conversations. I begin with a thorough mock interview to assess current ability and identify specific areas requiring development before any formal preparation begins, because accurate diagnosis is the foundation of efficient, targeted preparation. Common interview question preparation covers the standard categories — strengths and weaknesses, behavioural competency questions, situational hypotheticals, and career motivation questions — with specific guidance on structuring compelling, concise answers in English. I teach the STAR method for behavioural interview questions specifically, helping students structure their professional experiences into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate competency through specific situation, task, action, and result framing. Salary negotiation English receives dedicated attention because this specific, often anxiety-inducing conversation requires careful, confident language. I address first impression English, including the specific greeting, small talk, and rapport-building language that opens an interview successfully before substantive questions even begin. Body language and delivery alongside content are addressed because how something is communicated in English matters significantly to interview success. I conduct extensive mock interviews under realistic conditions, including unexpected follow-up questions and challenging scenarios. Question-asking skills are addressed because the questions a candidate asks an interviewer significantly affect overall impression. My teaching goal is a candidate who walks into any interview with genuine, well-founded confidence.
