About Jenna
I am a high school English teacher! I majored in English at the University of Pretoria- which covered literature, grammar and how to teach the language. I’ve taught classes from 5 to 19 years old, with first and second language speakers. English is my native language, so I’ve also been speaking it for a while. :)

Any learning needs to be specific to an individual. I believe vocabulary and communicative skills are the best founding blocks to language use, so that will form the base of lessons. Building on top of that: practice makes perfect! I’d like my lessons to be a friendly, calm space where people can try to use the language in practical examples without too much stress about making mistakes. Everyone should be able to test out what they’ve learnt in robust practical settings. I’ll provide content, worksheets and readings to be done outside of the lessons and we will use what you’ve learnt doing those to complete lessons which will focus on correction, communication and application.
