About Jessica
I feel like I can connect to young people as I am 27 years old - so not too young but not too old. I can understand their experiences moreso than some other tutors, as I still remember my time at Secondary school.
I completely understand feeling stressed, because you simply cannot comprehend something that a Teacher has taught you, and they may not make time to give you that deeper explanation or paraphrase things. It is frustrating, and i wish I could have had a tutor back then - especially for Maths!
If you can place your trust in me, I really do hope to provide you with my undivided attention, support and feedback. My aim will be to continue to use successful learning strategies which I have seen work multiple times before. I would love to be a part of your journey to success.

As part of my Psychology degree, I was able to explore human memory and how best individuals tend to process, retain and recall information. I wish to apply certain strategies for optimal learning, in the hope that my student feels more confident retrieving relevant knowledge.
I am flexible in terms of lengths of each lesson, so I am more than happy to negotiate.
I have been tutoring as a side job since I was 18, and feel a strong sense of reward from doing it.
My lessons will cater for all ages and abilities. Adaptive teaching is my speciality as I have worked with SEND and SEMH students for many years before.
I will be a positive role model, and offer as much support and guidance with a high level of consistency.
