About Kit

Hi, I'm Kit! I'm currently studying English & Drama at the University of Exeter and have a real passion for English, writing and literature.

I achieved an A* in GCSE English and an A at A-Level, and I'm now continuing to study English at university. Having been through GCSEs and A-Levels relatively recently, I understand both the academic demands and the pressure that can come with them.

Alongside my studies, I have experience in writing and journalism, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of how to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.

I'm friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and getting things wrong. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence in English and make the subject feel much less daunting.

I'm Enhanced DBS checked and fluent in both English and Welsh.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an upcoming exam or simply become more confident with English, we'll focus our sessions on the areas where you can make the biggest improvement.

I can help with essay writing and structure, English Language exam technique, literary and poetry analysis, revision, past papers and understanding what examiners are looking for.

Because I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels relatively recently, I understand the pressures students face and aim to make difficult concepts feel straightforward and manageable. I don't believe in simply telling students the answer - I'll help you develop the skills and confidence to work things out independently and apply them in exams.

For GCSE students, lessons can be adapted to your specific exam board, texts, current grade and target grade. We'll identify your strengths and weaknesses and build our sessions around what will benefit you most.
