About Jaya
About Me — Meet Jaya
Hello! I’m Jaya, a Linguistics graduate, educator, and passionate communicator who loves helping people discover their voice and become more confident through language.
With a BA in Linguistics from the University of Rochester, I have an academic foundation in grammar, pronunciation, language structure, communication, and language learning. I’ve also worked with students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, which has taught me how important it is to make learning feel comfortable, personal, and encouraging.
I’m naturally warm, expressive, patient, creative, and curious. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, practicing out loud, and being themselves.
Whether you’re learning English for conversation, travel, school, work, relationships, or everyday life, I’ll meet you at your level and help you build confidence one conversation at a time.
