About Ravi
I'm Ravi, and I'd love to be your next tutor. I have a wealth of experience in Art, History and English through my studies. I have developed a passion for teaching through private tutoring (over 50 hours), taking leadership roles and line managing in a professional environment.
I currently work as a marketing executive at the British Library and am completing a professional qualification in Marketing. I graduated from the University of Warwick studying History of Art in 2020 and completed the International Baccalaureate in 2017 and the MYP program in 2015.
My teaching philosophy revolves around taking a holistic and collaborative approach, helping students gain confidence, and developing skillsets necessary to perform well and drive results. During a typical lesson, we will outline goals and objectives; this will ensure the student has a clear understanding of where they should aim to be by the end of the lesson. I believe the best use of time is spent in discussion, open dialogue and working collaboratively, so students get the most out of lessons. I will often set tasks between lessons, as this is an excellent opportunity for students to practice what was taught, build self-confidence and develop their passion for the subject matter.
I am also a strong believer in providing valuable feedback after each lesson, which is valuable for the student and the parents/guardians.
Finally, during exam periods, I firmly believe that looking through past exam papers, practicing in time-pressured situations and working on exam technique is essential in building up a student's confidence before an exam.

Ravi tutored me whilst I was in high school, helping me in my English class. He helped me better structure my essays and showed me how I could use my strengths and weaknesses with language to get the most out of my writing.
He was excellent at communicating what he was teaching me, and if I did not understand something, he would calmly explain it differently. He always had a plan for the lessons but would also have a backup if things didn't work as intended the first time.
I would ask Ravi to tutor me again if I needed another tutor.Ravi constantly goes above and beyond for his students, from providing past paper questions, to marking all their homework and providing feedback to parents after each lesson. He makes lessons interesting and engaging, linking concepts to real world examples.
