About Dax
Reading and writing should be fun, not hard and pointless work. Education is often made to prepare people only to work, and in my opinion, that is not entirely what education should be about. Reading and writing should be expressive modes of learning about the world as well as one’s self. The skills I would help build are not only for job preparedness and academic success, but are also to create well rounded, deep-thinking individuals.

My teaching methods will be focused on understanding the”why and how” of English reading and writing. How to make something effective, how to analyze, why literature works, and why we should care. A typical lesson plan would contain some reading of example material along with analysis followed by practice. What sets me apart is my willingness to cater to the interests of each student along with helping to build skills in a way that is not only fun, but would encourage the student to keep building them on their own.
