About Sarah
I found explaining problems to others satisfying. I believe the beauty of learning stems from both understanding and being able to verbalise your understanding to others. Explaining complex concepts allows me to grow my satisfaction and this is why I am fond of teaching. In sixth form, I regularly achieved gold and distinction awards in Senior Maths Challenge, Mathematics Olympiad for Girls and gained further awards in follow-on rounds. Furthermore, I was the top in my school for British Physics Olympiad. I have achieved A*A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics in A-levels and GCSEs.

I started mentoring students from my school since the age of 16. Students I mentored showed significant progress, including moving up two sets in under 3 months' time. I break down abstract concepts and aim to pass on the skill of mathematical thinking to my students. I aim to provide my students with the ability to problem-solve and think independently. Having just finished my secondary education, I am uniquely familiar with the specification contents and required exam techniques.
