About Sarah
I am an 18-year-old sophomore BioEngineering student. I have helped many of my peers at the high school and college-level succeed in their Mathematics and math-related classes. I have spent the last two semesters as a college tutor for Elementary Functions, Statistics, Functions & Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus 1 & 2. I have worked with students with ADHD, autism, processing disorders, dyslexia, and dyscalculia and helped turn failing midterm grades into B's. I have also tutored students preparing for the ACT and ASVAB.

I am very friendly, patient, and encouraging. I started tutoring by taking over the responsibility from high school special education teachers and I make every effort to respect learning differences as well as to adapt my approach to accommodate different learning styles. I don't believe in just following steps, I make sure that students understand the fundamentals of what they are doing and know why they are doing it. Math is problem-solving and it becomes intuitive when you take the time to fill in logical gaps.
