About Vanshika
Hi! I’m Vanshika, a Bioengineering student at the University of Washington and Research Assistant at UW Medicine. Since I once struggled with math myself, I know how overwhelming it can feel. That’s why I focus on breaking down tough concepts into simple steps, offering patient guidance, and building strategies that actually work. In addition to math tutoring, I also support students with college applications, whether it’s essay guidance, brainstorming, or sharing strategies to make your application stand out.

My lessons are designed to make math less intimidating and more approachable. I start each session by identifying where you’re getting stuck, whether that’s with homework, test preparation, or core concepts, and then break down problems into simple pieces. I use examples and guided practice so that you not only know how to solve a problem but also why the method works.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing questions you bring in (homework, quiz/test prep, or tricky topics). Then, we’ll work through practice problems together, and conclude with strategies you can use on your own. Every lesson is tailored to your goals, whether that’s boosting your grades, preparing for AP exams, or building confidence in math overall.
With many years of tutoring experience and a background as an engineering student at UW, I know what it feels like to struggle in math and how to overcome it. My goal is not just to help you get the right answer, but to help you actually understand math so it feels manageable and even enjoyable.
