About Raja

I seek to empower students by instilling confidence by creating a safe and professional space to create an effective and invaluable tutoring session. Students should leave the session feeling that their time and money were well spent and that they have learned, grown, and achieved. I aim to raise the bar to which students believe they can hold themselves and their peers.

My tutoring philosophy is that eventually the student should autonomously complete the problem or the assignment without the aid of a tutor. That being said, I determine and engage the student at their point of understanding so as to avoid gaps in learning or prequisite knowledge. If prerequisite knowledge is missing or I notice gaps in fundamentals, I tend to review those with the student first before moving on with the lesson. I also encourage review and rehearsal of newly learned material and provide many practice examples for the student. My tutoring lessons are geared for all age groups who study mathematics or STEM-related fields up to a bachelors degree. I also tutor for composition writing and study skills and time management so the student can implement these.
