About Valerie
Hello! I'm Valerie :)
I have been tutoring for 5+ years, and I am very passionate about making sure every student feels comfortable and capable of learning!
I have graduated with an IB diploma, achieving a 97 ATAR, followed by a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering/Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) with first-class honors. I have since worked across multiple sectors, spanning from research to public health policy to non-profit organizations. But through it all, one passion that has always remained was teaching.
Sometimes learning can be extremely challenging and disheartening, especially when working towards deadlines or under a rigid curriculum. I am here to break down the process for you and make learning fun and engaging.
I speak three languages: English, Russian and French. I also have experience teaching neurodivergent students and creating a safe and comfortable environment where students can be themselves and ask any questions.
