About Jennifer
I’m an Engineering graduate with a real passion for math, and I’m here to help you feel confident in your abilities. I know that math can sometimes be frustrating, but I truly believe that with the right support, everyone can succeed. My approach is all about breaking things down into simple, easy-to-understand steps and showing how math connects to the real world. I make it a priority to create a relaxed, positive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that’s how we grow. I believe that a positive attitude is key, and I’ll always bring encouragement and patience to every session, no matter what challenge we’re tackling. I take pride in being professional, reliable, and prepared for each lesson, but I also like to keep things light and fun. Whether you're struggling with a tough topic or just want to get ahead, I’ll make sure the lessons are personalized to fit your needs and goals. My Teaching Approach
I focus on making math easy to understand by breaking down complex ideas into smaller, more manageable pieces. I try to relate each topic to real-life examples, which helps students see how math fits into their world. I also use a mix of interactive exercises and visual aids to keep things engaging. The goal is to make sure students feel confident and comfortable asking questions, and I always encourage them to learn from their mistakes.
A Typical Lesson
Every lesson is different, depending on what the student needs, but here’s what a typical session looks like:
Recap: We start by quickly reviewing the material from the last lesson to make sure everything’s clear.
Introduction to New Concepts: I explain the new topic in simple terms, often with diagrams and examples.
Guided Practice: Together, we work through some problems, with me walking through each step to make sure they understand.
Independent Practice: The student tackles a few problems on their own, while I provide help when needed.
Wrap-Up: We go over what we covered in the lesson, and I might give a few practice problems for extra practice.
What Makes Me Different
I’m all about making math enjoyable and approachable. I know it can be a tough subject, but I work hard to show students that they can do it. I try to make every lesson feel personal and focus on the areas that matter most to each student, so they’re always challenged, but not overwhelmed.

I work with middle and high school students in the DFW area, whether they’re having trouble with a particular topic or just want to get ahead. I can help with everything from algebra and geometry to pre-calculus, or even exam prep. My lessons are all about giving students the tools they need to succeed, whatever their goals are!
