About Nicole
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping others learn and grow. I decided to teach because I know how powerful the right support can be, especially the right teacher. Sometimes all it takes is someone explaining a concept in a different way, being patient, and truly listening. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps. Seeing a student go from “I don’t get this” to “Oh, that makes sense!” is the most rewarding part of what I do which is why I love tutoring. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve at your own pace.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, I tend to use active recall (asking/engaging with students) and provide notes. I believe that every learner absorbs information differently, so I tailor each lesson to match the student’s learning style, pace, and goals after the first lesson.
A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes. Longer sessions (90–120 minutes) are available for exam preparation or intensive support.
I have NCEA Levels endorsed with Excellence = 97.40/99.95 ATAR for Level 3 NCEA (Accounting and English subject endorsement + English scholarship received). I am a leader of the science support club in highschool, mainly tutoring level 2s in Chemistry weekly :)
My lessons are tailored for any NCEA (Level 1-3) or any high school student needing additional support!
