About Smitha
I am a dedicated and passionate drum tutor with 6 years of teaching experience. I teach high school students, college students, and elderly learners. During my teaching journey, I have trained nearly 150 to 200 students and helped them grow in skill, confidence, and love for music. One of my proudest career moments was when several of my students performed together on stage for the first time. Many students who once felt shy now play with strong confidence. Watching this change is the greatest reward of my teaching life. I believe that learning drums should be simple, enjoyable, and pressure-free. I teach rhythm, timing, hand control, and coordination in easy steps. I also guide students on how to practise correctly at home. For elderly students, I focus on slow, comfortable, and relaxing learning. For young students, I focus on confidence, speed control, and performance skills. I always respect each student’s pace and goal. My mission is to inspire students through music and help them grow with confidence and joy.

My teaching methodology for drums is practical, motivating, and flexible. I use real-life songs, band performances, and recording sessions as learning examples. Students learn how drum patterns work in real performances. This method helps them understand real timing, groove, and stage confidence. Motivation is always part of my teaching style. I encourage students to believe in themselves and enjoy the learning process. I help them stay focused and build confidence step by step. When they struggle with difficult rhythms, weak timing, or speed control, I use problem-solving techniques. I slowly guide them through simple exercises until their skill improves. Integrity is the base of my teaching values. I provide honest feedback and expect discipline, regular practice, and respect for music. Flexibility helps me change lesson plans based on student level, pace, and learning style. In addition to drums, I teach rhythm training, music theory basics, keyboard fundamentals, and performance skills.
