About Rachel
I am an AEMT with experience working in busy 911 emergency medical systems. Over the years, I’ve worked a wide variety of calls where quick thinking, clear communication, and strong patient assessment skills were essential. I enjoy helping new EMT students build confidence and understand how to apply what they’ve learned in real scenarios, not just on paper. My focus in tutoring is breaking things down in a way that feels practical and manageable, especially for students who feel overwhelmed by scenario-based testing or are preparing to start their first EMS job. I also help students develop practical strategies for managing stress in high-pressure situations and building habits that can reduce burnout as they transition into the field.

My lessons are focused and interactive, built around real EMS-style scenarios rather than just reviewing material. I work with EMT students to strengthen patient assessment skills, improve decision-making under pressure, and build confidence for both NREMT exams and real-world calls. In each session, we talk through medical and trauma scenarios step by step, practice how to think out loud during assessments, and work on organizing your approach so it feels more natural and consistent. My goal is to help you develop a clear, repeatable way of thinking so you’re more confident during skills testing, exams, and your first 911 experiences.
