About Ryan
I started my hospital adventure at the ripe old age of 18, which is basically a teenager in doctor years. While juggling nursing school, I moonlighted as an emergency room technician, where I learned that band-aids are not a universal cure-all. After graduation, I dove headfirst into the chaos of a level I trauma center, where I discovered that coffee is a nurse’s best friend and a stethoscope is a fashion statement. Now, I’m back in the ER as a PGY1 Emergency Medicine Resident Physician, navigating the chaos of intern year like a pro—or at least trying to. At home, I’m the ringleader of a circus with a daughter, a husband, and five dogs, who are convinced I’m their personal chef. Life is a whirlwind, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
