About Emily
In May 2025, I will be graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. This past semester, I worked a part-time internship in a 3rd grade classroom in Norman Public Schools, and I am currently working a full-time internship in a 2nd grade classroom in Norman Public Schools. Outside of creating lesson plans in an academic setting, I also have experience designing and leading activities in a summer camp setting for students ages 4-18. These activities include outdoor games and sports, music, and arts and crafts. I place high value on using unconventional approaches to education, and I believe that many students experience better learning and deeper understanding in hands-on environments. I am also particularly passionate about working with students who are neurodivergent and experience learning difficulties.
