As a committed tutor, I bring an active and individualistic approach to learning that makes me unique in helping students achieve success in maths. My teaching method is based on recognizing the distinct learning styles of each student and adapting my style accordingly. This ensures that intricate mathematical ideas are not rote memorized but genuinely understood through interactive talks, visual aids and real life applications made during the talk. In a lesson, I begin by conducting a comprehensive review of previous material then I give clear explanations of new topics. Students are then taken through practical activities which make use of their hands as well as problem solving exercises that reinforce learning. What distinguishes me as a tutor is my background as an engineering student, which grants me a solid foundation in mathematics and problem-solving skills. My tutoring services cover middle school to high school students in Ottawa for various subjects at different levels including basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. In order to target any particular student’s struggles better or areas they need, the ranges may vary from remedial math courses to precalculus help. If students want to increase their grades, prepare for tests or simply attain deeper understanding on the subject; it’s my responsibility to help them get there
