I like to start with reading a short text of 3 to 4 paragraphs in order to learn the phonetics of words as well as to distinguish the sounds of words because there are homophones which are usually confused aurally and then check which words are not you understood or if it is all the text in general to soon write them and make a dynamic with those words that you did not understand as well as explain certain grammar rules within the text for example: the rule "is" or "s" which is a subject that is applied in verbs used in third parties. Finally read the text again with a correct pronunciation and understand it.
