About Richard
My name is Richard D. Marquez IV, I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of California Irvine with hopes of getting started on a double major in Physics.
In terms of my academic qualifications I have always exceeded in my math and science courses any would be the kid that never studied for them but still got the perfect score. I did also receive 4s and 5s for my AP exams.
Some additional information about myself is that I used to do JROTC in high school, managing and organizing large community service events while learning leadership and communication skills. This also inspired me to join the space industry and want to become an astronaut. So currently I am apart of NASA's L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy learning all about mission development and important skills that can be utilized within that industry. Lastly, some random things that I like to do are play piano (learning guitar), sailing, reading, playing games, and just chilling!

Since the lessons are mathematics, we would typically go over any formulas, methods, or definitions that the students will need to know in order to solve the problems. Once the teaching aspect is done, I will work alongside them through practice problems that I will make or any homework assignment with a challenging question.
What will set myself apart from others is the belief in the idea that there are no bad students, only bad teachers (and trust me there's a lot). However what I mean by "bad" teachers isn't that they can't teach, but rather being insightful and open to trying new methods for different students because everyone is unique in their own right.
All of my lessons will be specialized for middle to high school level math classes. Which includes: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (alongside the honors/AP versions of these classes).
