About Charlieze
I have tutored students of all ages for the past 6 years and I always try to create a positive and uplifting environment where students feel encouraged about the work they’re doing. I try to explain concepts in ways that are easily understandable and can help students make connections between assignments. No matter what part of ELA a student needs help with, I try to help them develop their skills in ways that will help them succeed in the future.

When tutoring, I try to connect with students in a way where they can feel understood while learning new concepts and be able to apply them in the future on their own. Depending on the type of help needed, we can focus on reading comprehension through short passages, spelling practice, grammar and punctuation, writing tactics, or ways to expand and elaborate on different types of writing. Sessions can be centered around helping students with both in-school assignments or out of school writing hobbies. When it comes to writing, I can help with creative, informative, persuasive, and research-based, and hope to teach students skills that can enhance their writing abilities.

Charlieze is an amazing ELA tutor! She’s incredibly patient and knowledgeable when it comes to helping others learn. She is not only smart but insanely good at explaining different concepts or readings in a way that’s clear. Charlieze also will always make sure the student understands or feels confident in their ability before she moves on. It is super easy to follow along with her teaching style leading to a better understanding of the topic at hand.
Charlize helped me pass algebra 1 when I was in 8th grade after almost failing she helped me pass with a 83 by the end of the year. She really helps you understand the material
